SHREK COMES TO BROADWAY

June 24, 2008 - SHREK THE MUSICAL comes to Broadway this November. This highly anticipated production is based on Shrek's adventures in the William Steig book, as well as the Oscar-winning films. SHREK THE MUSICAL will also feature Donkey, Princess Fiona, Lord Farquaad, and a chorus of everyone's favorite fairytale creatures.

Tony® nominee Jason Moore directs a great cast led by Tony nominee Brian D'Arcy James as Shrek, Tony Winner Sutton Foster as Princess Fiona, Tony nominee Christopher Sieber as Lord Farquaad, and Chester Gregory as Donkey. Tony nominee John Tartaglia will play Pinocchio and Kecia Lewis-Evans is the Dragon.

With book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire and score by Jeanine Tesori, SHREK THE MUSICAL is an ogre of a good time.
