Tilt! The Art of Pinball
May 3, 2006 - Come experience "Tilt! The Art of Pinball" at the Cedarhurst Center for the Arts in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. "Tilt!" is the largest collection of original pinball art in the history of the game.
The show features the artwork of Stern artists John Youssi (MONOPOLY®, NASCAR®); Margaret Hudson (THE SIMPSONS PINBALL PARTY™, LORD OF THE RINGS™); and Brian Rood (GRAND PRIX, WORLD POKER TOUR™). Also featured are classic pinball artists Greg Freres and Paul Faris. The show will also display a LORD OF THE RINGS™ pinball machine.
Located on a 90-acre site in southern Illinois, Cedarhurst celebrates the arts year-round with exciting visual and performing arts programs for the public. The Cedarhurst Sculpture Park's outdoor gallery has over 60 large-scale sculptures. The Mitchell Museum also contains contemporary art exhibitions in two galleries, including a Children's Gallery.
Cedarhurst is located in Mt. Vernon. View directions below. There is an opening reception on May 6 at 6:30pm, located at the Main Gallery of the Mitchell Museum. The Cedarhurst Center for the Arts is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 5 pm, and Sunday, 1pm to 5 pm. "Tilt!" runs from May 6 to July 16, 2006.
