Todd MacCulloch playing at the Texas Pinball Festival pinball tournament

March 25, 2009 - As reported on ESPN and in the Washington Post, Former Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets NBA basketball star, Todd MacCulloch, recently played at the Texas Pinball Festival pinball tournament. Todd played on such games as Stern Pinball’s new CSI® pinball machine, along with several other classics. Todd, who is ranked 179 in the world on the IFPA ranking system, took home his first pinball prize. He turned in a 2nd place score on the classic pinball machine, Fireball.

Todd, who originally hails from Winnipeg, now lives on an island close to Seattle. There he has over 30 pinball machines and 70 coin-operated games. The 7’0” former center says that he loves playing pinball for a living, despite the fact that his winnings of a few hundred dollars doesn’t nearly match the $35 million he made throughout his NBA career.

The Texas Pinball Festival is an annual event that was held this year from March 13 to March 15. It was at the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center. The festival featured over 100 pinball machines in a room of 10,000 square feet.
