Elvis Week
September 2, 2004 - Stern Pinball, Inc. unveiled three of their new ELVIS® pinball machines to great enthusiasm at the world's most popular Elvis-themed gathering, the annual Elvis Week commemorations in Memphis, Tennessee.
Accompanied by Stern president Gary Stern, game designer Steve Ritchie, technical service director Joe Blackwell, and art director Marc Schoenberg, the ELVIS® pinball machines received over two thousand free plays at three popular Memphis locations, the Graceland Pavilion, the Heartbreak Hotel, and the Peabody Hotel. Over six hundred serious Elvis fans alone from the very exclusive Elvis Collectors Club Conference played a specially exhibited ELVIS® pinball machine for two days straight at the Peabody Hotel.
The game was received with high praise as well from the licensor of the ELVIS® pinball machine, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. Jack Soden, CEO of E.P.E., liked the pinball so much that he said it was one of the best products the company had ever licensed.
This year Elvis Week celebrated not only the life of the King of Rock n' Roll®, but also the 50th anniversary of his first recording, "That's All Right." Elvis Week 2004 featured over three-dozen events throughout the city of Memphis.
Gary Stern says, "What more can I say? -It's Elvis!"
The ELVIS® pinball machine begins shipping to North America in September, 2004. To learn more about Stern Pinball and the ELVIS® pinball machine, please visit www.sternpinball.com. To learn more about Elvis, visit www.elvis.com.
