German Pinball Championship a Great Success.

June 15, 2005 - The German Pinball Championship just wrapped up and was a great success. Sponsored by one of Stern Pinball's German distributors, Gauselmann/MEXIM, and arranged by the German Pinball Association, the event drew over 300 visitors and 110 players to Espelkamp, Germany for an amazing pinball tournament.

The tournament featured eight new Stern pinball machines, including three ELVIS and five SOPRANOS®. There were an additional sixty older pinball machines, all fit and ready to play.

The tournament began on Saturday June 4th at 4PM and ended at 2:45AM the following morning. Andreas Harre, a forty-one year old from Burgdorf, Germany prevailed over the competition, which included the standing European Champion. The semi-finals were played on an ELVIS pinball, while the finals were played on a SOPRANOS® pinball machine. Andreas will next fly to the PAPA World Championship (August 11-14, 2005) in Scott Township, Pennsylvania to compete for the world title.

One can also purchase Stern's own tournament system. Stern's Tournament Pinball System (ToPS™) is an in-house tournament system. ToPS™ uses no phone lines, no servers, and gives full location privacy. Stern developed the ToPS™ system with these things in mind after consulting with many operators and location owners throughout the United States.
