August 11, 2006 - Stern Pinball is re-releasing
the MONOPOLY® redemption game for the fall season.
Pat Lawlor and his team of mechanical and programming engineers
at Pat Lawlor Design designed the MONOPOLY® redemption
game.
Up to three players can play the MONOPOLY® redemption
game at once. The goal of the game is to stop the chasing light on the
highest number possible as seen on the payout table. The payout table
has three levels of lights, and the level played is based on whether 1,
2, or 3 coins were inserted. The MONOPOLY® redemption
game comes with two sets of interchangeable payout tables (32% and 40%;
others are available as well). The game also features LED/Dot Matrix Display
graphics and sounds that interact with the game play. These graphics and
sounds were originally featured in the MONOPOLY®
pinball machine. The MONOPOLY® redemption game also
includes an outstanding art package by John Youssi.
The MONOPOLY® board game has since sold an estimated
200 million copies in 80 countries, and has been produced in 26 languages.
