Pinball Expo

October 14, 2004 - Over three hundred pinball enthusiasts from around the world toured the Stern Pinball factory on Thursday, October 14th as part of the 20th Annual International Pinball Extravaganza, Pinball Expo 2004. Stern's staff led the tours, providing excited pinball lovers with great insight into how pinball machines are designed and built.

Pinball Expo 2004 runs from Thursday, October 14th through Sunday, October 17th at the Ramada O'Hare Hotel in Rosement, Illinois.

Stern is supplying ELVIS® pinball machines for the Flip Out 2004 tournament for the purpose of crowning the "Grand Wizard." Flip Out 2004 is for all ages and levels of play. Stern will also have at the show a newly arted HARLEY-DAVIDSON/THIRD EDITION®. As well, they will run a tournament using Stern's Tournament Pinball System on a RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT!® pinball machine, where all proceeds will go to charity.

Highlights of the Pinball Expo include among other things a Fireside Chat with George Gomez and a speech by Pat Lawlor at the Expo Banquet. Expo also features a hall for attendees' classic and new pinball machines, as well as booths selling anything from backglasses to t-shirts to souvenirs of all types.

They were also extremely excited to hear that we now have Spanish speech in our U.S. games, and that our ToPS™ Tournament Pinball System is really taking off.
