Sharkey's SHOOTOUT - The Tournament
There are two START buttons on the front of the cabinet. The top START button is for playing normal, non-tournament pinball games, and the bottom START button is for playing tournament games. In the tournament mode you will compete with players around the world for real money. (Note: Only when a button is flashing you may start that version of the game.)
In tournament mode you go straight to playing Jeanette Lee, taking on the "Black Widow" herself. To compete for the prize money you will need to complete all six check marks then shoot the final shot as quickly as possible to collect the Final "Hurry Up" Bonus. All tournament games are one player.
As you complete all six check marks you will reach a fixed score. Only by completing the goals of the check marks will any more points be awarded. Then, to separate yourself from the rest of the crowd, you will need to keep the Final Bonus as high as possible.
The Final Bonus starts at 10 million points and begins to count down when the ball is in play. You can increase the value anytime you complete any feature in the game. The increased amount is equal to the current prize money level shown in lights on the playfield. It is possible to increase the Final Bonus over the original 10 million to a maximum of 12 million. Also, you can delay the count down when the ball is in the bumpers or when you hit the center target. When you think it's as high as you can get, you can shoot for the final shot and add the Final Bonus to your score.
If your final score meets a minimum point requirement, the game will ask you for your personal information, i.e. your name and a 9-digit number. This information is then sent to location owner. for confirmation. If the game was determined to be legitimate, and the score is high enough, your name will be displayed on the leader board located on top of the pinball machine the following day. At the end of the tournament top players will be awarded their prizes.
